Night
The sound of ear plugs expanding in your ear and blocking out the overbearing noise of the world is my favorite feeling. Pure peace.

An AMAZING two part trip including San Francisco, Napa Valley, Seattle and Vancouver.

I can’t say just how impressed I am with Empires new EP. I knew when Sean first showed me this song, Homewrecked, that it would cause a stir of goodness among the fans. I recall having chills and a huge smile and said “yup, that’s going to touch a lot of people in so many ways”.
This is my first time to sit and hear the finished version with good headphones on and it is blowing me away. Still. And I love that I read people tweeting and blogging about how much they love it, because not only was I totally right…but I was totally right! ;-)
i miss you every day. even when you’re here. it’s like the world makes me miss you more. if you stayed away it’d be easier, but then i’d dislike it more. your eyes make it more confusing but your smile makes my smile real. do we know anything different? would we it ever change? no time is time enough.
That moment when you finish a book, look around, and realize that everyone is just carrying on with their lives as though you didn’t just experience emotional trauma at the hands of a paperback.

I haven’t had anything out of the regular occur on public transit in a while, until today. I decided to take the bus(rather than ride the train with Sean) since it got me closer to my destination I immediately regretted this decision when I approached the bus stop and heard “do you have a quarter?” I don’t. Honestly. I couldn’t transfer last night because I didn’t have a quarter and had to borrow from the boy to even get on the bus today. So I say no and he keeps talking to me. This older man, missing teeth, couldn’t hear well because he’d say something and if I responded he’d yell “whaaaat?” so I just stop responding and decide large head shakes were easier for him.
He starts by saying “oh I know you I see you around.” ummm creepy. He finds a quarter on the bus and we finally sit down. Well a couple stops later he comes to sit behind me. Taps me on the shoulder and says how he knows me again. I just shake my head, I’m done being nice because it’s getting weird.
Then the bus fills up. Some old vet on his motorized chair yelling at people to move so he can park. Another guy telling him to not talk to him. The creep behind me starts sneezing an AWFUL sneeze basically on my neck. I just start laughing out loud. While the lady next to me keeps repeating “just get me off this bus” and praying to Mary.
Then my new sneezing friend behind me meets another friend and they start talking about how they have no teeth and his drink got laced with heroin etc etc.
So basically I couldn’t wait to get off the bus and hope I don’t catch some airborne disease. Phew! What an experience.
